A Green Soul Native Bees is a small Sunshine Coast based Australian Native Stingless Bee family business. Owner Ian Driver originally became interested in native bees over ten years ago whilst on a journey to green up his family’s life. A recent move to acreage on the Sunshine Coast from an inner city Brisbane block has meant more space for bees and food. A Green Soul Native Bees provides services across South East Qld including the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Ipswich, covering a range of native bee products and services to both individuals and organisations. Ian currently runs ‘Native Beekeeping 101’ workshops out of various locations across Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Ipswich. He also offers education sessions to kindergartens and schools, garden clubs and festivals. In addition to this, Ian builds Australian native beehives, and a variety of other bee-related products. He is Past-President of the Australian Native Bee Association and is currently the Branch Liaison Officer.
